1. What this app is

A study app for the Korean driver's licence written test. It carries the official public question bank published by KoROAD (Korea Road Traffic Authority) as-is, with question browsing, study by question type, and scored mock tests. There are no accounts, no ads, and no in-app purchases. Korean, English, Chinese and Vietnamese are supported.

2. A language pack will not download

Korean questions ship inside the app and are never downloaded. English, Chinese and Vietnamese are downloaded per language from Settings → Language (for the 2026-03-09 edition: English about 24MB, Chinese about 32MB, Vietnamese about 33MB).

• "Download failed. Check your connection and try again." — the transfer was interrupted. Retry on a stable connection; the packs are large, so Wi-Fi is recommended over mobile data.
• "The downloaded pack was invalid and could not be installed. Please try again." — the downloaded file was damaged. The app verifies pack integrity before installing and refuses to install a mismatched file. Downloading again from the same place resolves it.
• If it keeps failing, free up device storage, fully close the app, and try once more.

3. When is the question bank updated

The edition currently installed is 2026-03-09, shown under Settings → Question bank.

The bank is updated whenever a new official edition is published following a change in the law. There is no fixed schedule. When a new edition appears, we re-parse the source and publish it, and the app shows an update notice on the home screen. Tapping Update downloads the new bank inside the app — you do not have to wait for an App Store update.

4. Where study records are stored

Progress, wrong-answer notes, bookmarks and settings are stored only on your device. They are never sent to a server and we cannot see them.

• There are no accounts, so records do not move with you when you change devices.
• Deleting the app deletes the records with it.
• To erase them yourself, use Settings → Reset progress. This cannot be undone, and the app shows how many items will be erased before it runs.

5. Is the mock test the same as the real one

The number of questions and the time limit are the same (40 questions · 40 minutes). However, all questions carry equal weight (scaled to 100). The real test weights question types differently, but the official question bank does not label types, so we do not reproduce that. The app shows the pass mark as 70 for Class 1 and 60 for Class 2 / moped.

Video questions are excluded from tests, because playback depends on network conditions and the test should be identical in any environment. Car tests therefore draw at random from 965 questions (1,000 minus 35 video questions) and motorcycle tests from 772 (800 minus 28).

6. A video question will not play

The 63 video questions play inside the app and need a network connection. Use Settings → Videos → Download all videos to store them in advance and play them offline. Copyright in those videos belongs to KoROAD.

7. Test applications, fees and test centres

Application procedures, fees and test-centre information change over time, so neither the app nor this page states them. Please check the official sources:
