PicMe Driver License app · Effective 2026-08-24

Summary — This app has no accounts, sends no study records to any server, and uses no ads or tracking SDKs. The app talks to a server when downloading language packs or videos and when sending usage statistics; those requests leave standard access logs (IP address, timestamp). On iOS, if you installed the app from an App Store ad, we ask Apple once per install which ad campaign it came from.

1. What we process and why

Study records (progress, wrong answers, bookmarks, settings)Stored only on your device. Never transmitted; we cannot see them. The one exception is the study language you selected, which is recorded with the usage statistics below.
Server access logsWhen you download packs or videos, your IP address, access time and requested file are logged automatically by our infrastructure (Google Firebase). Purpose: service delivery and error handling.
Usage statisticsScreen views and feature events (e.g., mock-exam submitted, video played), app error diagnostics (error type, message, and code-location summary), device model/OS version, device language setting (used to offer a matching app language), the study language selected in the app (used for per-language usability statistics), and a random anonymous identifier generated by the app. We also collect screen snapshots (session replay) while you use the app — on-screen text, images and video are uploaded unmasked, so whatever is displayed — study content, and text you type such as search terms — is included. Processor: PostHog Inc. (United States — cross-border transfer). Purpose: usability statistics. The app has no accounts or payments, so it never asks for a name, contact details or other directly identifying data, and none is collected.
Ad attribution (iOS)If you installed the app from an App Store ad, Apple tells us the ad campaign identifiers (campaign, ad group, keyword and ad IDs, install country, new vs. reinstall, click time), recorded alongside the usage statistics above. Purpose: measuring ad effectiveness. These values identify an ad campaign, not you. Installs that did not come from an ad are recorded only as "not from an ad".
Email inquiriesIf you email help@picme.kr, we receive your address and message. Purpose: responding to you.

We do not collect accounts, names, phone numbers, or location. We do not use the advertising identifier (IDFA) and do not track you across other apps or websites.

2. Retention

On-device records disappear when you reset them in the app or delete the app. Server access logs are deleted after 12 months. Inquiry emails are kept for 3 years after resolution (Korean e-commerce dispute-record requirement), then deleted.

3. Third-party disclosure

We do not provide personal data to third parties.

4. Processing delegation

Google LLC (Firebase)Content delivery infrastructure (packs, videos). Access logs may be stored on Google servers outside Korea.

5. Your rights

You may request access, correction, deletion or suspension at any time. Delete on-device records via Settings → Reset progress; for server logs or emails, contact the officer below.

6. Destruction

Data past its retention period is destroyed without delay using irreversible methods.

7. Security

HTTPS encryption in transit, least-privilege access, and data minimisation (no accounts, no tracking).
